Comment Policy
Last updated: April 29, 2026
Kylovia comments are a place for thoughtful discussion. Most readers stay well inside our standards on their own. This page exists for the small minority who do not.
1. We moderate before publishing
Comments are reviewed by a human moderator before they appear on the site. This means a delay between submitting your comment and seeing it live, but it keeps the discussion useful and on-topic.
2. What we publish
- Comments that engage with the article — questions, additional context, friendly disagreement, lived experience.
- Constructive feedback on the writing or our reasoning, even (especially) when it tells us we got something wrong.
- Useful pointers to other resources, where they genuinely add to the discussion.
3. What we do not publish
- Personal attacks, harassment, hate speech or threats against any group or individual.
- Spam, repetitive promotional content, irrelevant link drops or affiliate links inserted to game commissions.
- Content that infringes copyright or republishes private information without consent.
- Comments that exist purely to provoke a reaction (trolling, off-topic political flame bait).
- Comments written under a clearly fake identity to impersonate someone else or to inflate agreement.
4. Multiple short comments vs one good one
If you have multiple thoughts, please combine them into one comment. Repeated rapid-fire comments from the same email tend to get filtered as spam.
5. Names, emails, websites
- Your name and the body of your comment are public.
- Your email is private and used only to notify you when your comment is approved or replied to.
- The "website" field is optional. It is published as a link on your name. Links are tagged
rel="ugc external nofollow"for SEO neutrality.
6. AI-generated comments
Comments that read as boilerplate AI output — generic, on-topic-but-empty, no specific reference to the article — are removed. We can usually tell.
7. Edits and removals
- We do not silently edit comments. Minor formatting cleanup is the only exception.
- If we remove a comment, we don't necessarily contact the author. If you believe your comment was removed in error, email us.
- Authors may request the removal of their own published comments at any time by emailing us with the article URL.
8. Reporting a problem
To flag a comment that violates these rules, email hello@kylovia.com with the article URL and a short description.
9. Updates
We update this policy as the kind of comments we receive evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
